Welcome to "La Realidad"

La Realidad opens its doors to all who may wish to discover our Cuban way of life through our art: be it music, poetry, painting, sculpture, cinema, ballet or theatre. Our Literature is written in our skin, we a people of the sun and stars, it is written in our havanan, bohemian neighbourhood.

This is what we are in La Realidad, that which is not at first glance seen... the deepest turn of our historic, artistic and social spiral. Whoever enters our house, like someone entering a colourful shell, will find their way to a journey, to a home that holds within its very walls the pulse of the Cuban people.

Our Guesthouse

Casa La Realidad was built in 1910, presently restored in an eclectic style and converted into a 4 Bedroom B&B. The space is a family home in the Vedado district, bright, fresh and comfortable. It is decorated with handmade crafts, artistic furnishings and typical tropical furniture that evokes the identity of Havana.

It is located a few meters from the main street Avenida 23, Lennon Park and the Cuban Art Factory, Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC), and surrounded by bars, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, galleries and museums. We offer a family atmosphere and access to the alternative artistic world of Havana.

Full Acommodation

The rooms have air conditioning, private bathroom, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner. The suites have a minibar and terrace overlooking the city. We also offer full breakfasts.

The Havanan Experience

Access to the opportunity to experience contact with Havanan art, dance, theatre, film, Cuban Latin jazz, trova and the little-known Cuban fusion music.

An Alternative Itinerary

We can give you access to a variety of information related to touristic activities, interesting places, events and experiences off the beaten track. We can also arrange transfers to and from the airport, and trips to other provinces of the country.

We are a Cuban family, in love with our roots and culture, we like to share our way of living and thinking, and help all our guests to understand and enjoy Cuba.

Suite Habana

This suite includes a large open-air private terrace with a view of the city, a queen-size bed, air conditioning, on-suite bathroom with hot water, a bath, shower, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and all the basic necessities for your stay.
The theme of the suite is a tribute to Cuban cinema, especially the film "Suite Habana" by the director Fernando Pérez.

Días y Flores

This suite is practically a separate apartment and totally independent from the rest of the house. It has an open-air terrace with views of the city, a double size bed, air conditioning, mini-bar kitchenette with cooking utilities and a coffee maker.
The bathroom includes hot water, a bath, shower, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and all the basic necessities for your stay.
The suite is dedicated to Cuban poetry and music, especially the album "Días y Flores" by the artist or 'trovador' Silvio Rodríguez.

Gitana Tropical

This is a typical style room with a queen size bed, air conditioning and an on-suite bathroom with hot water, a bath, shower, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and all the basic necessities for your stay.
The room is decorated in tribute to the visual arts in Cuba, it owes its name to the oil painting "Gitana Tropical" by the avant-garde artist Víctor Manuel.

Tocororo

A typical style room that comes with a double size bed air conditioning and an on-suite bathroom with hot water, a bath, shower, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and all the basic necessities for your stay.
This space is dedicated to ballet, dance and the performing arts. The name "Tocororo" comes from the ballet of the same name by the choreographer and dancer Carlos Acosta.
